This bright, coastal, summer mural concept was created using the Procreate app on my trusty little iPad Pro.

I wanted to create a piece that was vibrant and eye-catching, while making use of a limited colour palette, as even though this mural is purely conceptual, if I were to actually go and paint it on site I would only need to take a small number of different paint colours with me!

Being that I’m based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, I am constantly inspired by the beautiful beaches and coastal areas that are on our doorstep here, and I wanted to capture some of that feeling of summer approaching in these sweet little motifs that are a mixture of coast dwelling creatures like the fish and seagull, and my own beach-day essentials like sunglasses, a big hat, and of course some good ol’ sunscreen.
